Pippa Smith MA, DipArch, MArch, ARB, RIBA
Pippa has been working with Nick Cox Architects since 2009. Following her SPAB Lethaby Scholarship in 2005, she joined Simon Conder Associates in London, working as Project Architect for several award-winning new build projects. Pippa has a particular interest in contemporary design in historic settings, and the deep retrofit of existing buildings.
At Nick Cox Architects, she was Project Architect for the significant new design and meticulous conservation work of the National Lottery Heritage Funded Exhibition Spaces in the South Transept of Winchester Cathedral. Since completion, the project has been widely published and received several awards, including a RIBA National Award in 2021.
Pippa has a part-time post as a design tutor at the Welsh School of Architecture in Cardiff where her tutorials focus on the creative reuse of existing buildings. Outside work, Pippa enjoys painting and printmaking and is renovating and extending her own home.
