NICK COX ARCHITECTS

Nick Cox Architects was established in 2006 and is based in north Oxfordshire. The practice also has offices in London and Frome, Somerset. The practice specialises in the repair and conservation of historic buildings and the design of new buildings in historic contexts.

John Ardagh - BSc(Hons) MArch

John joined Nick Cox Architects in 2021 as a Part II Architectural Assistant, completing his Masters degree at The Welsh School of Architecture in 2023 with first class honours. His dissertation focused on carbon net zero in medieval cathedrals.

At Nick Cox Architects, John has worked on a variety of conservation and contemporary design projects including the Lincoln Cathedral quinquennial inspection and Blenheim Palace fabric repairs. John is a member of the SPAB and regularly attends their residential working parties, repointing and repairing historic buildings.

John is skilled at piloting the office drone and is able to construct digital and 3D printed models from data gathered during flights.
